Farm-to-Harvest Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • manage the farm-to-harvest systems 
  • initiate outreach to dairy goat producers monthly requesting number of transition goats available to Vermont Chevon
  • connect Aggregator/Trucker to let him know where goats are located/when they will be ready for transport to his aggregation facility
  • prepare bi-monthly harvest and cut sheet documents with complete processing details 
  • submit the harvest & cut sheets to the harvest facility by the Friday prior to scheduled harvest date
  • maintain accurate records with complete contact information of all producers 
  • maintain accurate records on all goats coming into our system; to include producer contact information, Scrapie Tag no’s, Incoming/Hanging Weight, Breed, Age, and Exit Date
  • coordinate Aggregator/Trucker, for farm pickup and animal delivery to harvest

Requirements

  • proven work experience organizing multifaceted details
  • excellent communications skills
  • multitasking skills
  • experience utilizing computer systems for data tracking
  • teamwork and motivational skills

15 to 20 hours a week
Salary: negotiable
